Baby in a Bumbo

A fellow parent recommended getting this Bumbo (which we received as a gift) - it allows a baby to sit up even when they are not able to do so on their own. Ander is holding up his head nearly full-time now and so we gave the Bumbo a try. He likes it.

When they said that swinging comforts babies, I'm not sure this is what they had in mind...though it seemed to work with Ander.

Laurie and I were playing with the camera doing long exposure times and multiple flashes. I would turn on the lights, set the focus, shutter speed and turn off the lights. Laurie would pose, I would release the shutter, set off a flash, Laurie would move, pose, I would set off the next flash, Laurie would move, pose and I would set off the final flash. I touched up the picture some as when you do long exposures with a digital camera you get “noise” red, blue and green dots. All that was done with this picture was blending the “noise” in with surrounding color to reduce the “noise”.

Laurie above the Golden Gate

Shane took Laurie for a ride on a gorgeous weekend and took this photo of her with San Francisco in the background. We both think it's a great photo of Laurie.

Start 'em early

Mom introduces Ander to motorcycles on dad's dirtbike. Shane has done his part by playing "dirtbike" with Ander, using his leg to "start" the moto, twisting his wrist to gas up and then zooming him around the house on a ride, taking jumps and bumps.

Hand in hand

We'll see how large Ander's hands get in comparison to Shane's.

Baby burrito on the couch

Shane swaddles Ander nice and snug before sleeptime and turns him into a baby burrito. Here he is on the couch (he's supposed to be getting sleepy, but you can see he is wide awake). Look at those ears!

Bump and serve

Laurie bumps and serves at a pick up volleyball game in Golden Gate Park. Temps were in the mid-60s which is great for March 4.

As close as she'll get...

Laurie sits on Shane's KTM380. It's as close to a ride as she's going to get in a while. Shane, however, enjoys tearing it up around San Francisco pretty regularly. He wants a personalized license plate saying "GlblWrmg" (global warming). That will go over so well here...
