Our neighbor across the street moved away, which was too bad because Ander and Lane (7 years old) had become pretty good pals. They made the most of moving day, however, taking turns moving mostly themselves up and down the ramp. Take a look.

On the balance bike
We spotted a boy in San Francisco riding a balance bike and knew we wanted to get one for our kids. Ander has it mastered as you can see in the following video taken at the "green" near our house.
Garage play
With all of Ander's cars, this garage was a perfect gift for his birthday from Gr-auntie Becky and Gr-uncle John. Needs a few repairs, but, hey, what garage doesn't? :) Ander has taken this "Ah, man!" to heart and says it about everything that happens.
Happy 3rd birthday Ander
We celebrated Ander's 3rd birthday on Saturday, February 6th with lots of friends and family at our house. Both sets of grandparents were there as well as great grandpa Bill and Shirley, great aunt Hazel, aunt Jeanette with fiance Paul, cousins John, Emmie and Gracie, and family friends Josh, Julie, Jacob and Bethany.
He had a train birthday cake hauling all kinds of candies and loved blowing out the candles so much, he asked us to go it again. Everyone obliged. Ander had been "practicing" blowing out candles for close to two weeks, asking me at every opportunity to, "blow out candles, mom?" He reveled in the moment and the trick, relighting candles that I inadvertently purchased, turned out to be great fun, relighting all by themselves and him getting the chance to keep blowing them out.
He, of course, made out like a bandit with presents, but the toy put to most use that day were the 4 balls Josh brought over (one in Ander's lap) which all the kids enjoyed before and after cake time in the backyard.
Shane cooked up some of his green chili pork and we call chowed down and chatted the day away. It was a great day.
